Yes, it’s true. A few years ago I was down with the internet, and associated lingo and jargon. I mean I work for a council, and in children’s services no less where jargon is so ingrained we struggle not to use an abbreviation in a sentence. But recently I have found that people are using phrases that I either have no comprehension of, or have no idea WHY they would be used.
Props
This seems to be some kind of positive vibe given to people for doing something. Beyond that, I have no idea.
Nom
This seems to be applied to food. ‘I want some nom.’ Â ‘Just had a pizza – nom!’ I hate interchangeable words. If you liked the pizza – it was nice, or tasty. Perhaps the best you ever had. Not nom.
P*wn
Don’t even get me started.
