We have a second guest host for May 2017 – the always fiesty Shell Lawes AKA Stoma in a Tea Cup.

Shell keeps herself very busy online with her blog, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page – as well as maintaining a Facebook based support group Making Ostomies Cool. In real life she also runs a support group in Kent, as well as providing one to one support to IBD sufferers and ostomates.

Shell was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005, and had surgery in 2015 to remove her colon and rectum, giving her a permanent ilesotomy. However, she still suffers from extra intenstinal manifestations including arthritis as well as other chronic conditions.
